The Deputy Minister of National Defense, Mr. Nikolaos Hardalias today Thursday 2 June 2022, as part of his official visit in the Republic of Armenia met with the Minister of Defense Mr. Suren Papikyan.

The meeting, which took place in a very cordial atmosphere at the Ministry of Defense of Armenia, confirmed the traditionally excellent bilateral relations between the two countries, which are based on long-term, strong historical and cultural ties. The joint intention to continue exploiting these links was stressed and issues were discussed to further enhance transnational cooperation in areas such as the defense industry, military training and technology.

At the same time, they exchanged views on the challenges and threats in the field of Security in Europe and the Eastern Mediterranean.

In addition, the Deputy Minister of National Defense visited the headquarters of the Patriarchate of Armenia, where he had a ceremonial meeting with the Primate of the Church of Armenia, Catholic Patriarch of All Armenians, etc. Karekin II.

Today’s meetings were preceded by a visit by Mr. Hardalias to the Armenian Genocide Monument, where he laid a wreath as a sign of honor and memory to the victims, followed by information and a tour of the Museum of the same name. The Deputy Minister of National Defense during his visit to the Monument, pointed out:
