The Minister of Defense Mr. Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos had today, Wednesday, June 1, 2022, a farewell meeting with the outgoing Ambassador of Israel in Athens, Mr. Yiosi Amraniwith whom he discussed developments in Ukraine, as well as security and stability challenges in the Eastern Mediterranean.

During the discussion, the importance of the strategic defense relationship between Greece and Israel was highlighted, which is at an extremely high level for the security and defense of the two countries, but also the stability and prosperity of the wider region.

The common will of the two countries to further strengthen their mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of armaments programs was also stressed.
