The Deputy Minister of National Defense, Mr. Nikolaos Hardalias completed today, Friday, June 3, 2022, his official visit in the Republic of Armenia, holding meetings with members of the political leadership and visits to higher military educational institutions.

More specifically, the Deputy Minister of National Defense met with his counterpart Mr. Karen Brutyan, with whom in a very friendly atmosphere discussed at length issues and prospects for deepening bilateral relations in the fields of defense equipment, defense industry and the expansion of military cooperation programs between the Armed Forces of the two countries.

Mr. Hardalias also met with the Minister of High Technology Industry Mr. Robert Khachatryan. The focus of their conversation was the possibilities of cooperation in the fields of research, technology, innovation and mutually beneficial projects between the defense industries of the two countries.

In addition, the Deputy Minister of National Defense had a meeting with representatives of the Union of Greek Communities of Armenia. Mr. Hardalias was informed by the President of the Union Mr. Maria Lazareva for the work and the presence of the Greek Diaspora in Armenia. He congratulated the communities of the Diaspora for everything they do for Hellenism and confirmed the readiness for assistance of the Greek state where required. The meeting was also attended by the Presidents of the Greek Communities of Yerevan Mr. Kristine Rafaelova and Alavertni Vache Mkrtsian and the Youth Member Mr. Pavlos Akritas.

In the context of today’s visits, the Deputy Minister of National Defense went to its headquarters Vasgen Sargsyan Military Academy and his National Defense Research University, where he was informed about the organization and programs of military and academic training. He also had a brief tour of their facilities and attended a static exhibition of weapons systems.
