“It is clear that Greece has armed these areas, especially the islands that are close to us despite the stipulation of the Lausanne Treaty and the islands that were conditionally given to Greece by the Paris Peace Agreement in 1947. In addition to Cavusoglu, Hulusi Akar pointed out Greece as an expansionist country and turned back the clock to the Asia Minor Catastrophe.
“We are celebrating the 100th anniversary of our great victory in ending the atrocities and attempted invasion of Greece, which took place a century ago. It must never be forgotten how heavy the price of adventure was,” he said among other things, clearly sending a threatening message.
Challenges were also made by the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which brought back the well-known propaganda about supporting terrorists in Greece.
“Athens is a safe haven for terrorists. There are supporters of PKK and FETO. The Greeks think that if they protect them, they will be able to use them to harm Turkey,” he said, according to Anadolu Agency.
