The Minister of National Defense Mr. Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos attended today, Thursday July 7, 2022, the swearing-in ceremony of new Second Lieutenants of the Class of 2022 held at the premises of the Icaron School in Tatoi.

The swords were presented to the new Air Force Officers by the President of the Republic, Mrs. Katerina Sakellaropoulou.

Also present at the ceremony was the President of the Parliament Mr. Konstantinos Tasoulasthe Deputy Minister of National Defense Mr. Nikolaos Hardaliasthe Chief GEETHA General Konstantinos Florosthe Chief GES Lieutenant General Charalambos Lalousisthe Chief General Vice Admiral Stylianos Petrakis PN, the Chief of General Staff (I) Themistocles Bouroliasrepresentatives of the parties, representatives of the Regional and Local Government, as well as the Church.

From the class of 2022 of the Ikaron School, 67 Second Lieutenants (35 Airmen, 25 Engineers and 7 Air Defense Controllers) graduated, of which 61 were from Greece (53 men, and eight women), five from Cyprus and one from Jordan.
