The Israeli anti-drone system for the islands is moving forward

Let’s not forget that Greece’s anti-aircraft defense is one of the best in NATO.

The Israeli anti-drone system for the islands is progressing, with the Spyder being the most prevalent to be selected by the Cypriot staffs (including in the first phase) while the Iron Dome is qualified for Greece.

Turkish publications want Greece and Cyprus to move towards the purchase of two Iron Dome anti-aircraft systems.

According to information from geostratigika.gr, Cyprus has so far qualified the Israeli Spyder, as it does not have a long-range anti-aircraft defense.

Accordingly, according to the same information, Greece due to the Patriot and S-300 is only considering the issue of either upgrading the Patriots or purchasing the French SAMP/T systems (ground version of Belharra’s Aster 30).

Athens would consider (is currently considering) the purchase of the Iron Dome system for the islands and Evros.
