On Tuesday, March 26, 2024, the Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Lt. Gen. Georgios Kostidis, visited the Armored Training Center (KETTH) in Avlona, Attica, where he gave a speech to the newly enlisted Professional Hoplites (OP.OP), who are currently being trained at the KETTH .
During his speech, the Chief emphasized that the ultimate purpose of the training being conducted is their smooth integration into the operational force of the Units and their successful utilization according to their specialty. He also urged them to devote themselves with zeal and dedication to the continuous improvement and upgrading of their knowledge, while he pointed out to them that high morale, impeccable appearance, military spirit, knowledge and skills constitute the image of the ideal professional soldier. Finally, he assured them that in this endeavour, the Army General Staff will help them, which will provide stability and confidence in their future course.
