Russians: Beware Bayrkatar guided kamikaze drone from 100 km during attack on Russian Khmeimim air base.
The avia.pro agency claims that at least two Turkish Bayraktar TB2 attack drones guided kamikaze drones in an attack on a Russian airbase.
The Russians cite information from the Flightradar 24 service, according to which two Turkish Bayrkatars were flying nearby during drone attacks, packed with explosives.
Russian anti-aircraft systems managed at the last minute to repel the attack successfully, but as noted this happened “literally a minute before they could hit the drones”.
The attack occurred on July 20, 2022, at approximately 10:10 p.m., while the kamikaze drones were controlled by two Turkish Bayrkatars, which were flying at a distance of 90 km.
Bayraktars are emphasized to be able to transmit image even from distances of more than 100 kilometers.
Certainly the specific Russian reports should be taken seriously by the Greek Pentagon, at the time when the Greek defense against Turkish drones is being organized.
