The Deputy Minister of National Defense Mr. Nikolaos Hardalias represented today, Thursday, November 3, 2022, the President of the Greek Government, at the swearing-in ceremony of the new Nursing Officers, which took place at the facilities of the School of Nursing Officers (SAN), in Byron, Attica.

The event was attended by the Member of Parliament B3′ of the South Sector of Athens, Mrs. Anna Karamanli as a representative of the President of the Hellenic Parliament, the Minister of Education & Religious Affairs, Ms. Niki Kerameoswhile the Most Reverend Metropolitan Byron, Kaisarianis & Ymittos etc. officiated. The Parliamentary Groups and Parties were represented by the MPs of 1st Piraeus, Mr. Theodoros Dritsas (SYRIZA), B2′ of the Western Sector of Athens, Mr. Maria Athanasiou (GREEK SOLUTION) and the member of the Central Committee Mr. Christina Skaloubaka (KKE).

Also in attendance were the Chief General of the Greek Army Konstantinos Floros, the Deputy Chief of General Staff Lt. Gen George Kellis as the representative of the GES Chief, the GEN Chief Vice Admiral Stylianos Petrakis PN, the Chief of General Staff (I) Themistocles Bouroliasthe Chief of the Coast Guard – Hellenic Coast Guard Vice Admiral L.S. George Alexandrakisas well as representatives of the Chiefs of the Fire Department and the Greek Police.

The ceremony was attended by the Mayor of Byron, Mr. Gregory Katopodisthe Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ms. Milica Ristović Krstić, delegations of Officers of the Armed Forces and Security Forces, former Commanders of the SAN, representatives of Academic authorities, as well as relatives of the sworn-in.

Twenty-four Greek Officers (twenty women and four men) graduated from the Class of 2022 of the School of Nursing Officers, with a distribution of ten in the Army, six in the Navy and eight in the Air Force, as well as one foreign Officer from Bosnia-Herzegovina.

The Deputy Minister of National Defense presented the swords to the new and young Officers.
