At the facilities of the Evelpidon Military School in Vari Attica, the swearing-in ceremony of the new Second Lieutenants Class 2022 “Admiral General Konstantinos Mazarakis – Aianian” took place today, Monday, June 27, 2022, in the presence of the Minister of National Defense Mr. Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos.

The swords were presented to the new Officers of the Greek Army by the President of the Republic, Mrs. Katerina Sakellaropoulou.

Also present at the ceremony as a representative of the President of the Parliament was the 3rd Vice-President and 2nd Member of Parliament of Western Attica, Mr. Athanasios Bouras, the Deputy Minister of National Defense Mr. Nikolaos Hardaliasthe Chief GEETHA General Konstantinos Florosthe Chief GES Lieutenant General Charalambos Lalousisthe Chief General Vice Admiral Stylianos Petrakis PN, the Chief of General Staff (I) Themistocles Bourolias, representatives of the parties, representatives of the Church, Regional and Local Government.

180 Second Lieutenants graduated from the School, of which 166 from Greece, 11 from Cyprus, one from Albania, one from Bosnia-Herzegovina and one from Moldova. Included in the Arms are 149 new Second Lieutenants and thirty one in the Corps.
