National Guard Chief Meeting with New Jersey National Guard Commandant
On Thursday, March 28, 2024, o Chief of the National Guard, Lieutenant General George Tsitsikostas, was accepted at the Headquarters of the General Staff of the National Guardin the presence of the American Ambassador to Cyprus, Ms Julie D. Fisherthe Major General Lisa J. HouCommander of the National Guard of his State New Jersey.
During the meeting, they discussed matters of common interest and the progress of the implementation of the Military Cooperation Joint Actions Program between the National Guard (NF) and the United States of America (US). Prospects were also explored upgrading and expanding it to specialized areas of mutual interest.
The meeting of the Chief of the EF with the Major General Hou, confirm them excellent relations and the multi-level strategic cooperation that has developed between the Armed Forces (AF) of the Republic of Cyprus and the USA, which is constantly evolving and constituting its enhancement factor operational readiness and interoperability between the EDs of the two countries.
