The force structure of the Armed Forces 2020-2034 is clearly defined and approved by KYSEA, which defines the operational requirements for modern fighter aircraft.
This was emphasized by the Minister of National Defense, Nikos Panagiotopoulos, answering a question in Parliament on “Unimaginable delay in the modernization of the F-16 C / D Block 30 of the Air Force at Block 50M level”.
“All possible options are being considered to find any suitable solution, in order to further upgrade the operational capabilities of the Air Force,” Mr. Panagiotopoulos explained.
“More information on the matter is not declassifiable through the present procedure, as they fall into the category of Confidentiality, because they relate to the national defense planning and the structure of the country’s Armed Forces,” the Minister of National Defense added.
