Lockheed Martin talks with METKA to participate in the production of the F-35

An extremely important and critical discussion is scheduled between Lockheed Martin and METKA.
The manufacturing company of the F35s that Greece also wants will discuss – initially via teleconference – with the company’s managers in order to investigate the capacities and capabilities in relation to the production of the leading aircraft in the world.
The discussion concerns the METKA factory in Volos, which was re-joined – after lengthy procedures – in the global MLA (manufacturing license agreement) list of the US government.
It is noted that this factory was founded in 1962 with the purpose of the industrial production of metal structures.
Since then, its know-how, human resources and production capacity have been continuously developing and today it ranks among the leading manufacturers with internationally recognized reliability, flexibility and ability to carry out demanding projects.
It can adapt the model of further development to the new needs of society and customers, actively participating in the formation, financing and final form of the projects in which it participates, offering high specialization and multifaceted experience that have made it one of the most competitive companies worldwide.
And this is the key basis on which the discussion of cooperation with Lockheed Martin takes place.
