Change in Ankara’s F-35 strategy, while Turkey’s negotiations to buy F-16 fighter jets continue.
As revealed, Ankara has “ended lobbying activities carried out through Arnold and Porter in the US to return to the F-35 program”, from which Turkey was expelled due to the purchase of the Russian S-400s.
Turkey’s Defense Industry Technologies Inc. (SSTEK), had started cooperation with the American law firm Arnold and Porter in February last year, to “ensure that Turkey remains in the F-35 program”, writes Turkish cumhuriyet.com.
The cost was, according to the Americans, at 2.5 million dollars for a year and a half.
