Greek-Turkish: The Turkish media are pulling the strings – “23 Greek islands full of American weapons”

The Turkish press continues its “hava”, talking about the presence of dozens of American weapons on Greek islands.

Greek-Turkish: There is no end to Ankara’s provocative attitude, once again using the game of propaganda, again blaming Greece.

While Erdoğan’s National Security Advisor is annoyed because we are going to our islands, the pro-government newspaper Yeni Safak gets in on the… game, reporting that there are 23 Greek islands with dozens of American-made weapons.

“In Ikaria anti-aircraft, in Lemnos F-16 and anti-tank, in Rhodes tanks and in Chios guns” claims the newspaper, with the Turkish media cultivating a climate of tension.

At the same time, Defense Minister Hulusi Akar insists that “the militarization of islands means that Greece is leaving the Lausanne and Paris agreements”.

“What does this mean; That the Dodecanese granted by the Treaty of Paris and the islands granted by Lausanne are disputed, that is to say, it speaks of a change of borders” commented the correspondent of SKAI in Istanbul, Manolis Kostidis.

“The only country that raises the issue of treaty abrogation is Turkey. It is the most dangerous thing for the wider region,” he said.

For its part, of course, the Greek Pentagon is on high alert, making plans to deal with the Turkish challenges!

The… positive aspect of the case is that there are still opposing voices, since according to the Mayor of Symi, the Turks who visit the island express their opposition to his policy against Greece.
