Dynamic response of the Greek armed forces to Turkey’s equipment.
Greek-Turkish: The upgrading of the equipment of Greece in the armed forces continues and now another powerful “weapon” comes into play.
The GEETHA has drawn up and launched a program of a parallel aviation of drones. The program concerns the conversion of the 110th Fighter Wing in Larissa into a nest of UAVs.
After the supply and activation of anti-drone systems in the Aegean, as reported by Real News, the Greek Armed Forces are proceeding with the supply of armed drones that can damage ground targets, while at the same time they will be able to take down corresponding systems from the opposing side.
According to the report, it concerns the acquisition of four drones, i.e. unmanned TEXTRON type. The control will be carried out by the M1117 that our country received from the USA, with which they use exactly the same fuel, a sample of the compatibility that exists.
Regarding their technical characteristics, they have 15 hours of flight autonomy, can take off and land vertically and have a range of 50-60 kilometers at an altitude of up to 50,000 feet.
The said upgrade causes a “headache” in Turkey, as they carry a cannon, while the corresponding equipment of the neighboring country, such as the Bayraktars, cannot fly as high.
