The “Golden Fleece” exercise together with allied forces sent messages of deterrence.
Impressive moments were given by the Armed Forces in the “Golden Fleece” exercise, at a time when Ankara continues to pull the rope with challenges.
The exercise was attended by divisions and means of the II Motorized Infantry Division “Elasson”, of the 71st Airborne Brigade “Pontos”, of the 1st Brigade – Paratroopers “El Alamein”, of the 1st Brigade of the Air Force of the Army Romanian Army, the Albanian Army Light Infantry Season, the Bulgarian Army Mechanized Infantry Squadron, as well as observers from the United States, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, and Jordan.
The purpose of the exercise was to enhance military cooperation and strengthen ties between the participating countries, increase interoperability, as well as improve their training and operational capabilities in rapidly changing situations, which occur on the battlefield during operations support and enforcement of peace.
It should be noted that the climate lately in Greek-Turkish is clearly not calm. Following Velopoulos’s statements that “Erdogan is turning Turkey into a superpower”, the Turks continue their propaganda, claiming that Greece was afraid of the “Ephesus 2022” military exercise.
