Police drones have not located them – Investigations continue by ground forces
So far, the Police’s investigations with ground means and drones, to locate the 300 illegal immigrants on a specific islet, in the Evros tri-nation, have been without result.
Absolutely valid information tells protothema.gr that they were officially informed by the Turkish authorities about the existence of the 300 immigrants on this island and an alarm was immediately sounded.
In fact, the specific Ammonisis of the river has a peculiarity as, while it belongs to Greek territory, it almost touches the Turkish territories. This islet is located in the area of Captain Andreevo in Triethno.
Investigations are continuing in order to exhaust every possibility to locate them while the authorities are “combing” other islets in case the illegal immigrants moved towards them.
Of course, what the Minister of Citizen Protection Takis Theodorikakos has pointed out, about the strange games of the Turks that reminds of a repetition of the scene of last August, is not excluded.
