The Deputy Minister of National Defense Mr. Nikolaos Hardalias, attended today, Friday, July 8, 2022, the swearing-in ceremony of the new Squadrons of the 3rd Series of the Permanent Non-Commissioned Officers School of Aviation (SMYA), which took place at the School’s headquarters, at Dekelia Air Base.

The Deputy Minister of National Defense presented the graduation diplomas to the young Smenies, in the presence of the Chief of General Staff Vice-Captain (I) Themistocles Bourolia.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Chiefs of the General Staff of the National Defense (GEETHA), Army (GES), Navy (GEN) and the Security Forces, the Church, embassy authorities, the Commander of the Air Training Command Lieutenant General (I) Georgios Vagenasthe Commander of the SMYA Brigadier General (I) Emmanuel Zamboulakis, delegations of the Armed Forces, relatives and friends of the new Herds.

A total of 181 cohorts graduated, of which 168 from Greece, 12 from the Republic of Cyprus and 1 from Zimbabwe.
