The Deputy Minister of National Defense Mr. Nikolaos Hardalias represented today, Saturday, August 6, 2022, the President of the Greek Government at the events celebrating the 198th anniversary of the Battle of Mykali and the feast of the Transfiguration of the Savior, organized by the Municipality of Eastern Samos, in Pythagorion.

The Deputy Minister of National Defense attended the official eulogy at the Holy Church of the Transfiguration of the Savior, patron of the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Samos, Ikaria & Korseon etc. Eusebius. Subsequently, he attended the memorial service and laid a wreath on the statue of Lycurgus Logothetis, in the courtyard of the Holy Church of the Transfiguration.

Finally, he watched traditional dances by members of a local cultural association, in the Pythagorean Peace Square.
