At a time when Erdogan is engaging in immoral propaganda against Greece, the Armed Forces are preparing for a dynamic response to any action taken by the Turks.
Ankara is trying to respond to the internationalization of the Turkish provocations that Athens has started a long time ago and have brought results for the Greek diplomacy, applying immoral propaganda against our country. The Turkish media are already full of false and non-existent reports against our country, about the manipulations on immigration, the demilitarization of islands, and even about alleged violations of Turkish airspace.
In fact, the narrative of “Greek provocation and delinquency” is being prepared to be highlighted by Turkish President Erdogan himself, presenting “documents” on Greek delinquency at the NATO Summit. Where will his argument be based? That Greece is allegedly violating the Lausanne and Paris treaties on the demilitarization of islands. However, this argument does not exist.
First of all, according to the university and former Deputy Minister Mr. Christos Rozakis, “the demilitarization regime established by the Treaty of Lausanne is temporary. In the sense that demilitarization is aimed at preventing a recurrence of hostilities immediately after the end of an international conflict, mainly by the loser. This situation, however, can not last long. Sometimes the fear of a repeat of hostilities is dispelled. In our case, this fear was undone by the dramatic improvement of Greek-Turkish relations, especially in 1930, with the rapprochement of the two countries and the Agreement signed by El. “Venizelos and Mustafa Kemal.”

The three Branches are in a state of increased vigilance, controlling every move on the Turkish coast and the Staffs shaping their strategy and tactics every day, depending on what developments. The Army is the eyes and ears of the Armed Forces, scanning from the surveillance guards both with the modern systems of the critical units and of course with the men on each island of the Archipelago, any action from the opposite side.
The instructions given to them are clear and it is a given that no one will be allowed to set foot on a Greek rock. Besides, the rocks are the “home” of the commandos of the faculty of GEETHA, who as the first line of deterrence have taken care to shield every bit of Greek territory in the eastern Aegean. It is characteristic that throughout the day, the Navy with surface units, submarines and helicopters, the Air Force with its advanced radar and of course the fighter jets, the Army with modern surveillance systems, The men on the outlying islands and the Army Air Force helicopters, as well as the Special Forces commandos, convey a detailed real-time picture throughout the day in Athens and the Operations Center, where the strategy is analyzed and formulated.
And when we say every move, we mean everything … from the exits of the Turkish navy and their coast guard, to the smallest boat of a Turkish fisherman that will go out in the open. The Turks see this readiness, they see that if they attempt any action in the Aegean, a follow-up will follow! For this reason, they think twice about any move that may cause Greece on the field.
