On Wednesday, March 27, 2024, the Chief of the General Air Staff (GEA), Vice Admiral (I) Demosthenes Grigoriadis, visited the Andravida Air Base, where he was received by the Commander of the 117th Fighter Wing (117AM), Brigadier General (I) Ioannis Karamanis and the Commander of the Air Tactics Center, Brigadier General (I) Mattheos Kanoupakis.
During his visit, the Chief was informed about the current issues of the Units and the preparation of the “HINOCHOS 2024” exercise, toured the workplaces, talked to the flying and technical Staff and gave guidelines.
In addition, he awarded 5 officers of 117PM for their contribution to the Air Force, who, working with excessive zeal, carried out inspections – work saving resources for the Unit.
