According to a group of researchers from the Oryx Blog research organization, Russia has lost more than 1,000 tanks in Ukraine since the start of the war. Of the 1,000 tanks lost, 624 were destroyed during the fighting, while the rest were either abandoned by the Russian Army or captured by the Ukrainian Army.
More than 288 Russian tanks have been captured by the Ukrainians.
It should be noted that figures provided by the Ukrainian Army indicate Russian losses of 2,049 tanks, 236 combat aircraft, 206 helicopters, 15 ships and boats, 4,430 armored fighting vehicles and personnel carriers, 156 air defense systems and 1,147 artillery pieces.
Also, according to the Ukrainian Army, some 49,500 Russian soldiers have been neutralized since the invasion began.
