The Minister of National Defense Mr. Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos and the Deputy Minister Mr. Nikolaos Hardalias attended yesterday Monday 21 November 2022, at the particularly brilliant event for the celebration of Armed Forces Day – this year they also complete 200 years of their newest history – which was organized for the first time by the General Staff of National Defense at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (Stavros Niarchos Hall – National Opera) and were honored with their presence by A.E. President of the Hellenic Republic Mr. Katerina Sakellaropoulou and the Prime Minister Mr. Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

As part of the event, the Minister of National Defense, Mr. Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos, and the Chief of General Staff of the General Staff of Greece addressed a greeting Konstantinos Floros.

One of the most touching and special moments of the evening was the awarding by the Chief of GEETHA to the only resident of the island of Kinaros, Mrs. Irini Katsotourchi and known throughout Greece as Mrs. Rinio, guardian of our unspoiled island.

The event spoke to the hearts of the Armed Forces executives but at the same time gave messages of strength and power, professionalism and impeccable cooperation of the society with our tireless guards.

Allied countries and organizations sent wishes while giving clear messages of excellent cooperation through joint trainings, signing important agreements, thus strengthening security and stability for our homeland.
