Furious female non-commissioned officers with the Ministry of Defense – Instead of removing the injustice, alms €70!
Male non-commissioned officers who were recruited at the same time as women have been made permanent 13 years earlier and will receive a pension of €1,700, while women receive €700. Huge difference in promotion, but also in the amount of the lump sum they will receive upon retirement
The Commissioner of Administration, Maria Stylianou-Lottidis, is going to proceed with a binding recommendation to the Ministry of Defense in relation to the unfavorable treatment received by female non-commissioned officers due to gender.
The consultation, to which the Commissioner had invited the two parties, according to information from “P”, ended in a wreck, as the Ministry of Defense agreed to “solve” the problem with charity, granting those affected, an increase of only €70!
The ministry’s proposal was rejected by all the female non-commissioned officers who had proposed substantial measures to remedy the injustice found against them.
