Massive economic damage to Turkey from F-35s – Headache for Erdogan

Erdoğan’s friendship with Putin turned sour – 27 billion dollars loss in Turkey from the F-35 block!

Greek-Turkish: Through Sportime you had read about the hidden agenda of Erdogan and Putin and how it affects Greece. As it turned out, however, Recep Tayyip Erdogan is paying… dearly for the choice to turn to Russia for the defense reinforcement of the country.

As SKAI correspondent Manolis Kostidis reports from Istanbul, the array of S-400s that Ankara bought from Moscow led to Turkey’s exclusion from the F-35 program and cost it dearly in two areas.

Apart from the fact that it has been left behind at the defense level as Turkey would have at least six F-35s today, the US blockade has cost the Turkish economy 27 billion dollars.

“We took a $27 billion loss from being banned from the F-35 program. 27 billion dollars. Everyone understands the magnitude of the $27 billion damage. Also, we had paid 1.4 billion dollars and we have not received even this amount”, emphasized the Turkish analyst, Deputy General of the Air Force, Erdoğan Karakus.

All this at a time when the Turkish economy is experiencing a new major financial crisis with Erdogan entering the final stretch for the 2023 elections having to face major problems, with the country’s growing poverty at the top.

It is typical that there is great concern even among those who mourn the loss of their own people, since the graves and tombstones are unapproachable.

On the other hand, of course, at a time when Greek-Turkish relations are at their most critical point ever, the Turkish President has managed to convince the average citizen that our country has occupied Turkish islands!
