The Navy pays 100% of the tuition, room and board, medical and dental care costs of Naval Academy midshipmen. In addition, all midshipmen receive: $1,087.80 per month, which covers the cost of laundry, activity fees, barbers, cobblers, yearbook and other services. 100% post-graduation employment.
Can you drink alcohol at the Naval Academy

As an upperclass midshipman, you may drink if you are the minimum legal age for drinking (21 in Maryland). If you choose to drink alcohol, the Naval Academy will provide social occasions where responsible use of alcohol is permitted, such as at an official reception.
Can you just walk around the Naval Academy
Access to the Academy Grounds is Limited
Anyone with a locally prepared DBIDS or a DOD credential, including military retirees and dependents may drive onto USNA. All others will need to park outside the Academy and walk in through Gate 1.

Does the Navy pay for uniforms? Yes, but not for everything they need at boot camp. Recruits receive an initial uniform allowance of $1,157.21 for men and $1,371.69 for women. The sailor never sees the money, it goes directly to pay for the uniforms and is recorded as a credit and debt on the pay record.

Does the Naval Academy allow tattoos
No tattoos are permitted on the head, face (to include ear), neck, and scalp. Permissible tattoos on the torso area of the body shall not be visible through white uniform clothing. Chest tattoos will not be visible when v-neck undergarments are worn underneath any· uniform.
Can the Navy drink at sea?
The purchase of beer, wines and spirits by senior ratings on board HM ships is a privilege. While the drinking of spirits is permissible at sea under normal conditions the Commanding Officer has the authority to prohibit such sales when circumstances dictate, and in particular where the safety of the ship is involved.

The NABSD Uniform Department is focused on ensuring Midshipmen are properly outfitted with uniforms for their 4-year training period and beyond. From Day-1 (Induction Day, or “I-Day”), the incoming Plebe class are immediately fitted with the white works uniform so they can be sworn into the Navy later that day.
Does the Navy provide clothes?
