“We expect SİPER Block 3, which will be able to intercept ballistic missiles, to be activated after 2025,” he said.
Pointing out that the threats are unlimited and growing, Oguz said: “Therefore, as a countermeasure, air defense systems should also be constantly evolving. Much more advanced measures and surveillance systems are required for the ballistic missile. “SİPER will be part of the multilevel air defense system and will prevent these threats.”
He also stressed that the system that will be put into operation in 2023, will not be equivalent to the S-400 and Patriot, but after 2025, the SİPER Block 3 may be at the initial level of the S-400 and Patriot.
“The S-400s have a much larger range. A system that can stop incoming threats. But a process is needed and we are working in that direction. It is not a matter of opportunity, it is a matter of time. We have weapons technology.
We can prevent all future threats from Greece with the existing systems we have at our disposal. “With Hisar O +, we have the ability to strike aircraft, helicopters, cruise missiles and aircraft-launched missiles.”
