Greek Rafale Vs Turkish Eurofighter: Who wins by a margin

Greek Rafal Vs Turkish Eurofighter in the Aegean and the Eastern Mediterranean, in a scenario from the … future.

Greek Rafale Vs Turkish Eurofighter: Who wins by a difference if they meet in the Aegean and the Eastern Mediterranean.

The British Eurofighter that Turkey wants does not change the balance of power in the Aegean and the Eastern Mediterranean, as it has been formed in favor of Greece, with the latest additions to the Greek Air Force.

It should be noted that the Greek Rafale have better flexibility in closed air combat, such as those that take place in the Aegean (s.s. if the Turkish Eurofighters manage to get off the coast of Asia Minor).

A key advantage is the AESA radar available by the Greek Rafale, while the Eurofighters do not have AESA radar yet. The Eurofighter needs to be drastically upgraded to install AESA radar, a very costly process.

Do not forget that the Greek Rafale already have the Meteor missiles, while the British Eurofighter Typhoon Tranche 1 do not have such missiles. Even if the Eurofighter Typhoon Tranche 1 is certified for Meteor, then the French will have to be persuaded to give Meteor to Turkey (which seems very difficult with today’s data).

It is worth mentioning that the Greek Rafale is much better, compared to the Turkish Eurofighter, in air-to-ground missions.

Rafale also has better radar and better weapons systems, for air-to-ground missions and strikes.

Eurofighter Typhoon Tranche 1 can not take strategic strike weapons like the SCALPs of the Greek Meteor.

It should be noted that even if the Turks get the latest Eurofighter technology, they are inferior to Rafale, while it will take five years for everything to be delivered to Turkey.
