General Frangos: Stoldenberg plots dirty game against Greece (Video)

Erdogan wants to denounce Greece to NATO – What Athens should do

The Honorary Chief of General Staff, General Frangos, in an interview given to the TV show “Connections” of ERT1 with the journalists Costas Papachlimitzos and Christina Vidou, referred to the latest developments concerning Greek-Turkish relations.

Specifically, the Leader commented on the “directive to seafarers” as he characterized Turkey’s intention to raise the issue of demilitarization of the islands and Aegean issues at the NATO summit, namely:

-How is this in the context of the tactics of the Turks in order with the aggressive phraseology to lead the Greek side to a corresponding rhetoric, a trap which we must avoid.

-The instrumentalization of immigration referring to today’s statement of Turkish President Erdogan for alleged abuse of refugees and the disappearance of 30,000 children while blaming the EU, with the ultimate goal of exposing our country that does not comply with international law at the time that the Greek Coast Guard rescued 108 migrants.

Regarding the recent violations of the national airspace on the Island of Kandelioussa and Nisyros, he pointed out that they aim at the division of the Aegean into the 25th Meridian (from Thassos to the middle of Crete).

The General considered that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is right to respond with the 16 maps that it is going to present at the EU and NATO summit so that our partners abandon the policy of equal distances.

In particular, he referred to the attitude of the NATO Secretary General Mr. Stoltenberg, who he said was an employee who is also paid by Greece and reminded that he had fired him in time in February 2016, considering his unjust attitude. He even stressed that at the last secret meeting, which became known by the Turks, in Berlin, Erdogan’s close adviser and representative of the Turkish presidency, Ibrahim Kalin, with his national security adviser, Joe Biden, as well as with officials from France, Germany and United Kingdom, when you do not blame them there, then you finally want to pass the positions they want.

He made special reference to the open letter of the mentor and patriarch of our foreign policy, Mr. Molyviatis, to the Secretary General. of NATO in which he stated:

“When you call on Greece in dialogue with Turkey to resolve their differences, this is not an equal stand. It is an encouragement to the attacker to the detriment of his victim. ”

The general referred to the unexpected statement by the new Chief of Staff of the British Army, General Sir Patrick Sanders, that he was reasonably concerned about the possible involvement of NATO with troops in Ukraine.

He said that Putin was being pressured to put a stop to his ambitions and to encourage Ukrainians who were unfavorable in southern Ukraine.

He stressed that Europe’s energy costs hundreds of billions and the three MACRON SOLTS and Draghi tried to rationalize Zelensky to resume talks.

Regarding the role of Turkey as a mediator, he stated that no one took it into account and that he considered that it would have gains and benefits in other areas.

The Honorary Leader once again established a narrow internal front and cited the example of the four members of the Greek Parliament in Istanbul.

He expressed concern about the statement of the General Secretary of the KKE Mr. Koutsoubas about the danger of a hot episode and as he said it should be taken seriously.

Finally, he assessed that Turkey can only do something to show a random event that they have planned in order to put us at the negotiating table at the bilateral level.

Therefore, we must build a “Great Wall” without cracks and backdoors so that they can not interfere with our national security, our social cohesion and our economy in view of the new tourist season and the upcoming investments.
