Fuel Pass 2: Up to 100 euros fuel subsidy

K. Mitsotakis announced new increased subsidies for dealing with fuel accuracy.

An additional 375m euros are included in the fuel subsidy package, which will take effect in July and announced by the prime minister during the cabinet meeting.

At 80 euros for mainland Greece, at 100 for the islands

According to the suggestion of Kyriakos Mitsotakis, the new measures increase the subsidy for the Fuel Pass 2 from 45 euros to 80 euros for car owners in mainland Greece, while the subsidy for motorcycle owners amounts to 60 euros from the 35 euros that applied to Fuel. Pass 1.

For the islands the subsidy goes up from 55 euros to 100 euros for cars and for motorcycles to 70 from 40 euros that is valid today.

As Kyriakos Mitsotakis noted, only the subsidy for fuel during this period amounts to a total amount of 580 euros. While the direct and indirect interventions for the support of households and businesses for energy accuracy reach 8 billion euros, Mr. Mitsotakis stressed.

“These are amounts that have emerged from prudent financial management,” he said.

More than three million drivers

According to the announcements of Kyriakos Mitsotakis, the new Fuel Pass 2 subsidy program for the quarter July, August and September concerns more than three million drivers.

With this intervention, as the Prime Minister noted, the increases in gasoline by 44 cents of the euro are reduced, while the state subsidy in diesel is also extended.

As far as farmers are concerned, the return of the excise tax on oil for the first half of the year is accelerated for the beginning of August, instead of November.

At 3pm, the Minister of Finance will proceed to more detailed announcements specifying the new support measures for fuel accuracy.
