The Spanish Navy’s Communications Department added that “various aspects were examined, such as operational capabilities, survivability, maintenance, etc.”

Spain thus becomes the 9th customer of the Naval Strike Missile, after P.N. Norway, Poland, Malaysia, Germany, United States, Romania, Canada and Australia.

NSMs can be launched from various platforms against sea and land targets.

It is a fifth-generation anti-ship missile with a range of over 100 nautical miles (185 km).
