An official press release was issued by the Italian company Ficantieri, which states that it has signed cooperation and industrial project agreements with a number of companies in the Greek defense industry. The agreements in the form of a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoU) were signed yesterday at the Italian embassy in the presence of high-ranking officials of the Italian shipyard.
The cooperation between Ficantieri and the Greek companies is part of the shipbuilding program of the Italian corvettes Doha (FcX30) on behalf of the Navy.
According to Ficantieri’s official announcement, the cooperation memorandum with the Greek companies of the defense industry aims at the maximum possible undertaking of industrial work both during the construction of the ships and their subsequent support, and is part of the spirit of technology and know-how transfer and the expansion of cooperation between of the Italian and Greek defense industry.
