“Don’t shoot we’re yours!” – Russians mistook their colleagues for Ukrainians and opened fire [vid]

A video circulating on social media shows how chaotic the situation is for the Russians on the Dnieper River after their retreat from Kherson.

A group of Russian soldiers, who were on board a boat, crossed to the west bank of the Dnieper River in the region of Kherson, with the intention of destroying the other boats anchored there. Russian soldiers, who have retreated to the eastern bank of the river, are trying to stop the advance of Ukrainian forces.

As the footage shows, the soldiers started shooting at some of the boats. The Russian soldiers who were on the opposite bank (east) got confused when they heard the shots and thought they were coming from Ukrainian soldiers.

They immediately opened fire on their colleagues and one of them was injured by a bullet. The Russian soldiers who were inside the boat started shouting: “We are yours! We are yours! Stop shooting we are yours!’

The driver of the boat could not see where to go, while the video ends with the soldiers realizing that armored vehicles are waiting for them on the opposite side.

The fate of the Russian soldiers is not known, but this video shows how fragile the Russian forces are after retreating from the western side of the city of Kherson.
