Developments in the Engineer’s vehicle program

We seem to have developments in the Engineer reinforcement program with new Armored Fighting Vehicles (AFVs)

Specifically, on Friday, October 7, the General Directorate of Defense Equipment and Investments launched a tender for the acquisition of 12 vehicles for the Engineer. Specifically, that announcement states:

“The Ministry of National Defense (MIND), as the Contracting Authority, announces a Tender for the Assignment and Execution of the Contract for the program “PROCUREMENT OF 12 USED ARMORED MECHANICAL COMBAT VEHICLES (TOMMX)”

On Friday, November 11, with its announcement, the GDAEE announced the file filed by the German company FFG GmbH. Specifically, the new announcement states:

“On November 09, 2022, the GDAEE held the unsealing of the file with the quality selection documents of the tender candidate 05/22, in which the file of the company “FFG Flensburger Fahrzeugbau GmbH” was deposited by the legally authorized representative, “Mr. Georgios Loukissa”. the announcement concludes.

New vehicles for the Engineer

Many may forget the necessity for the Engineer to have so many modern vehicles at his disposal. However, it is a positive fact that the Engineer is equipped even with used vehicles, logically based on the Leopard 1.
