On Friday, November 10, 2023, the Chief of General Defense Forces General Konstantinos Floros, in the presence of the Chief GEA Vice Admiral (I) Themistoklis Bourolias, awarded the Moral Award of “Congratulations” to Squadron Leader (YN) Aikaterini Sigala of the General Aviation Staff.
The above-mentioned Officer, during training in the USA, demonstrated a high sense of responsibility and a spirit of humanitarianism – altruism, providing with direct and targeted actions first aid to a man who suffered an epileptic episode, a fact indicative of the high values that govern her , receiving the universal recognition of both her trainers and fellow trainees.
The GEETHA Chief thanked the Officer for her exceptional act and expressed his deep appreciation and admiration for the immediate reaction and the spirit of altruism she demonstrated, pointing out that similar acts showcase the Armed Forces and especially the PA in the best way, while presented her as an example to follow for all the personnel of the Hellenic Armed Forces.
