ARGO – 22: The Armed Forces of Greece and France send a “message of strength”

From Saturday 24 September to Saturday 01 October 2022 and within the framework of the international activities organized and coordinated by the Greek Greek Army, the Multinational Multidisciplinary Exercise of Greece and France will be held for the first time under the name “ARGO – 22”, which will receive country in the wider area of ​​Volos as well as in Agios Efstratios and Skyros with a Day of Distinguished Visitors (DV Day) on Friday September 30, which will be held in Skyros.

The Hellenic Armed Forces participate with:
Units of the newly created Special Warfare Command (DEP) of the GEETHA
Units of PN
Aviation means of the SX
Fighter Aircraft of the PA

The French Armed Forces are participating with the Amphibious Operations Command Ship (LHD) FS TONNERRE and its subordinate units and assets.

The “ARGO – 22” Exercise is of the LIVEX (Live Exercise) type and is part of the implementation of the “Guidelines for the Upgrading of Greek-French Military Cooperation” signed by the Chief of Defense Forces General Konstantinos Floros and the Chief of the French Defense Staff General Thierry Burkhard, and aims to strengthen cooperation and interoperability between the Armed Forces of the two countries, as well as to conduct advanced operational training in amphibious and amphibious operations.
