A US drone bombed an ISIS operative in a Syrian city under Turkish occupation

On Monday, a drone strike, reportedly carried out by the US-led International Coalition, targeted an Islamic State (ISIS) leader in northern Syria’s Raqqa province.

A military source told the North Press that a drone of the US-led International Coalition against the Islamic State targeted an Islamic State security leader in the town of Hammam al-Turkman, 25 kilometers north of Raqqa.

The city has been under the control of Turkish forces and their affiliated armed opposition factions known as the Syrian National Army (SNA) since Operation Peace Spring on October 9, 2019.

The source said the Coalition fired three rockets at the man riding a motorcycle.

On October 6, US forces killed the deputy leader of ISIS in Syria known as Abu Hashum al-Umawi and another senior ISIS official in a village in northern Syria.
