The Deputy Minister of National Defense Mr. Nikolaos Hardalias completing his two-day cycle of visits to Formations and Units of the Army and the Air Force in the area of ​​responsibility of the 4th Army Corps, he was today, Tuesday, December 13, 2022, in the Regional Units of Xanthi and Kavala, and visited:

The Tank Firing Range in Petrochori, Xanthi, where, after being informed by the Command of XXV TTHT about the international activities of the Brigade, the firing of LEOPARD tank crews was watched by the Fire Control Center. The digital shot tracking system was used to monitor the shots. He then attended a small-scale exercise with firing of LEOPARD 2HEL and TOMA MARDER 1A3 tanks, evaluating in practice the results of training on the newly received TOMA. At the same time, he had the opportunity to learn about the capabilities of the Tank Firing Range and the capabilities of the media.

Subsequently, the Deputy Minister of National Defense went to the Headquarters of the 20th Armored Division in Kavala and to the headquarters of the Aviation Detachment in Chrysoupoli, where he was received by their Commanders, Major General Athanasios Garinis and Vice Commander (I) Thomas Kasigeorgopoulos, respectively. Mr. Hardalias was informed about their actions and exchanged wishes with executives, conscripts and political staff ahead of the Christmas holidays and the coming of the new year.

The Deputy Minister of National Defense was accompanied by the Commanders of the 1^her Army/EU–OHQ Lieutenant general Angelos Houdeloudis and of the 4th SS Lieutenant General Ioannis Tsioplos.
