YETHA to P.O.E.S. – The human resources of the Armed Forces (AF) are always at the core of interest of the political and military leadership of the Ministry of Defense

On the occasion of numerous documents of our Federation and the Union of the Military Regional Unity of the Islands of the Region of Attica (ESPEENPA), regarding the resignations of PN executives, and the question submitted, in the context of the parliamentary audit, by the MP of Piraeus of the Spartans, Mr. Alexandros Zerveasthe HSE Mr. Nikolaos Dendias answered as follows:
In response to the relevant Question, I know the following: The human resources of the Armed Forces (AF) are always at the core of interest of the political and military leadership of the Ministry of National Defense (MIND), as it constitutes a power multiplier. In this case, as a compensation for resignations in the Navy, for the academic year 2021 – 2022 the number of entrants to the Higher Military Educational Institutions – Higher Military Schools for NCOs (ASEI – ASSY) was 212, for the academic year 2022 – 2023 at 281, for the academic year 2023 – 2024 the said number reached 258 and for the academic year 2024 – 2025 it was planned to enroll 335 students, compared to 124 per year, which was valid for the period 2013 – 2020 or 177 for the academic year 2012 – 2013. Additionally, in the context of the general strengthening of the potential of the PN, 340 professional hoplites (EP.OP.) were hired in the PN in 2021 and 360 OP.OP. in 2022. For 2023, the recruitment procedures for 430 OP.OP. and for 2024 the recruitment of 1,194 OP.OP is planned. In this regard, the set of measures of the political and military leadership of the ED, responding to the particularities of the working conditions and the demands of modern society, aims to solve the issues of the executives of all three Branches of the EDs, a fact that tends to increase their combat power and operational readiness.
