Will they enter a Greek island at night? Are they kidding us?

It is not possible to see such images in EFES 22, the neighbor’s largest military exercise, and to believe that the Turks will enter our country at night and crush us, as the “powder” says Soilou.

Indeed, observing the amphibious action that took place in the final stage of EFES 22 exercise, even we who do not have a clue about strategy, realized that something was wrong with the Turks.

At first, emphasis was placed on the mass movement of helicopters, firing impressive fire, creating an image of a strong and trained army, but the objectives are enormous. So how can one fail when asked to shoot an “elephant at 2 meters”?

Also, as Lieutenant General Lazaros Kambouridis points out, the execution of the disembarkation of the Expeditionary units (night bridge air construction energy) in real time was avoided, as one would expect in the most important exercise of the Turkish Armed Forces. It was broadcast on screens at the Exercise Observatory as a video that had been taken earlier and elsewhere for staff safety reasons. This indicates a lack of confidence in staff training and an effort “out of safe” success of the action. For this reason, the air transport of the Cougar and Chinook transport submarines in front of the observatory took place with the submarine license and without Patrol personnel inside it.

Also, the amphibious energy was carried out by chariots that were typically slow moving, while the chariot commanders were out of the tower throughout the maneuver, exposing themselves to enemy fire. Also in many movements, the stuffed chariots were exposed outside the tower, while the drivers operated the chariots with the windows open. In real battle conditions the chariot crews would be an easy target for the defenders’ fire.

Another fact that made a special impression was that the shots of the chariots were not fired in motion, despite the fact that the specific chariots have this ability, as a result of which they are exposed to the fire of the defenders. Why we do not know… lack of education? Maybe…

The targets of the chariots were typically large, using 12 barrels (5-4-3). It is noted that, in the respective exercises (day and night) of the Greek Chariot Units the speeds are much higher, the targets consist of 1-2 barrels and there is no crew member outside the tower – boat (day and night).

The landing took place on a shore with very calm waters. Knowing that the amphibious energy is a very difficult operation and is “captive” of the weather conditions, increases the chances of not being able to approach the amphibious vessels to an enemy shore under other weather conditions, given that the Aegean is not particularly favorable for such operations.

All of the above indicate a lack of staff training as well as a lack of trust of the Administrations in the crews of the tanks.

Thus, the exercise had the character of a communication “show”, and aimed only at projecting a message and exerting pressure on the Greek side. The “image” was exploited by the very well “trained” Turkish media in order to promote the operational capabilities of the TEDs, which in many critical points were in deficit.

So in the Greek “Pentagon”, not only were they not frightened by the shots they saw, but they wondered παιδιά Are the Turks bluffing guys or is their army really in a black mess? That is, where to look and what they do in the air… That is why the Greek pilots have the Turks for… breakfast!
