The Minister of National Defense Mr. Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos visited today, Friday, December 23, 2022, E.P.126 in Soufli, E.F. Gardens of Evros and the headquarters of the XII Mechanized Infantry Division “EVROS” in Alexandroupolis.

Mr. Panagiotopoulos was briefed on operational issues and exchanged wishes with the Armed Forces officers and conscripts, ahead of the Christmas holidays. The Minister of National Defense was accompanied by the Commander of the 4th Army Corps Lt. Gen Ioannis Tsioplos and the Commander of XII M/K MP Major General Panagiotis Kavidopoulos.

Afterwards, a meeting was held with the Evros MPs, Mr. Anastasios Dimoshakis, Stavros Keletsi and Christos Dermetzopoulosas well as the Mayors of Alexandroupolis, Mr. Ioannis Zamboukis, Orestiados Mr. Vasilios Mavridis, Soufliou Mr. Panagiotis Kalakikos, Mr. Didymoteichou Romylos Hatzigiannoglou, in order to inform them about the plan to rationalize the Reception Points Soldiers and the better organization of the operation of the Prevention Units.

At the end of his visit to Evros, the Minister of National Defense had a meeting with the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Alexandroupolis Flower B.
