Turkey’s BAYKAR has announced that it has delivered three more Akinci-B type UAVs to the Turkish Air Force. With the delivery of the three UAVs, Turkey now has 12 Akinci, of which the Air Force has six.
The first Akinci were delivered in December 2021, while the Turkish Air Force received the first Akinci last July.
The Akinci-A incorporates the Ukrainian Al-450T engines, while the Akinci-B incorporates the Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-135A engines and can fly at a higher altitude.
