The Prime Minister and the Greek Government were represented in Ithaca by the Minister of Shipping and Island Policy, Christos Stylianidis at the events for the national anniversary of October 28 (28.10.2023)

The Minister of Shipping and Insular Policy, Christos Stylianidis, today represented Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and the Greek Government in Ithaca, at the celebrations for the national anniversary of October 28.

Mr. Stylianidis, after attending the official eulogy at the Holy Church of Agios Nikolaos (for foreigners) and the memorial service, laid a wreath at the Memorial of the Fallen, as a small tribute to all those who “fell for the Fatherland” in 1940.

Afterwards, he attended the student parade of the island’s school units, which took place with the participation of the Philharmonic of the Ithaca Public Benefit Club.
