The International Co-Training of Pyrotechnicians of the Greek and Cypriot Police has been completed with the aim of learning the tactics of managing improvised explosive materials
Yesterday, Friday, November 3, 2023, the International Co-Training of Pyrotechnicians of the Greek and Cypriot Police with the object of learning tactical management of improvised explosive materials, which was carried out by the School of Continuing Education and Training of the Hellenic Police of Northern Greece, was completed.
The theoretical and practical co-training was implemented in -2- training series, specifically from 23 to 27 October 2023 and from 30 October to 3 November 2023 at the Vathylakkos Thermi shooting range, in the building of the Veterinary Center of Thessaloniki and in the facilities of the Hellenic Police (Explosives Disposal Department Mechanisms of the Sub-Directorate of the Special Police Forces of Northern Greece at the Thessaloniki Airport and the School of Post-Education and Training of Northern Greece).
The object of the training was the preparation, activation and deactivation of improvised explosive materials, while a total of -32- police officers participated in it, of which -20- pyrotechnicians of the Hellenic Police and -12- pyrotechnicians of the Cyprus Police.
Upon completion of the training, farewell events were held, in which the Director of the Special Police Forces of Northern Greece, Police Director Mr. Rallis Nikolaos and the Commander of the Post-Training and Training School of the Hellenic Police of Northern Greece, Police Deputy Director Ms. Sofia Gaitanidou addressed short greetings and presented the certificates of attendance to the participants of the co-education.
