Russian forces in Syria said they shot down two armed drones today that opened fire on Russia’s Khmeimim military base.
This information was reported by the Interfax agency, citing a defense official.
That official said no casualties or damage were reported.
Russia became involved in the war in Syria in 2015 supporting Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
