From Monday 12th to Friday 16th June 2023, the Army War School (GSW) organized under the auspices of the European Security and Defense College (ESDC) and in collaboration with the Cyprus Security and Defense Academy, a seminar on “Modern Leadership in the Context of Law of Armed Conflicts and Open Source Intelligence”.
The seminar was attended by a total of 25 participants, senior Armed Forces Officers and Academics. In detail, 14 from Greece, 5 from Cyprus, 3 from Romania, 2 from France and 1 from Belgium.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Consul General of the Republic of Cyprus in Thessaloniki, Mr. Konstantinos Polykarpou, the Director of the Cyprus Security and Defense Academy Vice Adm. Symeon Zambas and the representative (training manager) of the European Security and Defense College, Mr. Christoforos Christoforou.
The purpose of the seminar was to provide training in the framework of the Common Security and Defense Policy of the European Union and during the course thematic sections related to the international law of armed conflicts, the influence of open sources of information on the decision-making process and the characteristics and skills of the modern leader.
