On Monday, June 12, 2023, the Director of Health of GEETHA Rear Admiral (YI) Antonios Papageorgiou PN, the Rector of the National Kapodistrian University of Athens (EKPA) Professor Mr. Athanasios – Meletios Dimopoulos and the Vice-Rector for Research and Lifelong Education, Professor Mr. Nikolaos Voulgaris , co-signed a Program Agreement between GEETHA and EKPA.
The purpose of the contract is to support the mental health and well-being of Armed Forces personnel, through the development and use of specialized Psychometric Tools, for the early detection and prevention of mental illnesses.
The Psychometric Tools provide the possibility, among other things, for the targeted planning of interventions to strengthen the mental resilience of the staff, thus ensuring the effectiveness and effectiveness of the ED. In addition, the social impact is also important, as the prevention of mental illness and its multi-level consequences for the individual, has corresponding effects on the family, but also on the wider society.
The signing of the Program Agreement is another step after the signing of the Memorandum of Cooperation between GEETHA and EKPA (press here), which reflects the wider design of the EDTHA, in terms of the interoperability of the EDs and in particular their extroversion towards the Academic Community, as it enriches the knowledge and abilities of the ED staff, and further strengthens their professional training and development.
