Signing of the “Greece – UAE Military Cooperation Program” for the Year 2024

On Tuesday, February 13, 2024, the “Greece – UAE Military Cooperation Program” (Military Cooperation Program) for the year 2024 was signed in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE) by the Director of the Directorate of International Relations of the Greek Armed Forces, Brigadier General Vasilios Tsami and the Director of the Directorate of International Affairs Brigadier Staff Jamal Al Marzooqi of the UAE Armed Forces.

The said PSS includes, among others:

• Participation in cross-branch exercises, as well as in those corresponding to the individual Branches of the Armed Forces.
• Joint training of Special Forces – Special Operations Forces.
• Co-trainings in Crisis Management – ​​Electronic Warfare Disaster Response and Mines Disposal – Improvised Explosive Devices.
• Participation in trainings of the Naval Defense Training Center (KENAP) and carrying out joint trainings using simulators at the Battle Tank Simulator Center in Alexandroupoli.
• Staff exchange and visits to schools and multinational schools.
• Staff meetings and conversations on matters of mutual interest.

With the signing of the Program, the ever-upgrading Military Cooperation between the 2 Countries is confirmed, the ties of their Armed Forces are further strengthened and at the same time their interoperability is expanded, contributing to the strengthening of the role played by Greece and the UAE as pillars of stability and security in the wider Mediterranean and Middle Eastern region.
