Pensions: Increases are coming from 2023 – The four packages that will give breath

After several years of freezes and cuts, many retirees will see their pensions increase next year.

Specifically, there will be four interventions.

Pension increase from 1/1/2023: The increase is estimated at 6% of gross earnings and is strictly related to the personal difference.

Early estimates suggest that about 1.2 to 1.5 million retirees will see increases in their pockets. These are pensioners who have no personal difference or have a negative personal difference. Another 250,000 will see very small increases as they have a small personal difference, while those with a larger personal difference will only see an accounting pension increase.

Abolition of solidarity levy: End titles are included in the special solidarity levy for both public sector workers and all pensioners (Public and private sector funds) with monthly earnings of more than 1,000 euros.

Minimum wage increase: A new increase is coming in 2023 to the minimum wage (probably in the second half) that 650,000 workers are entitled to after the double boost given this year. The goal is for the minimum wage to reach 751 euros in the new year from 713 euros today in order to support low-wage households that are under pressure from inflation and energy costs.

Insurance contributions: On the table is another reduction in insurance contributions, which is estimated to reach 0.6 percentage points.
